A splendid house in Broadway, 'The Jewel of the Cotswolds'.
The B&B occupies a prime position in Broadway, one of England's
most lovely and unspoiled villages. It can be truly be said that when you are
living in Broadway, you are living in the 'Heart of England', both geographically
and in atmospheric terms. Here you find yourself in the country of Wordsworth,
of Shakespeare; here it is easy to imagine the music of Edward Elgar as you
admire the gentle beauty of the sweeping, green Cotswold hills all around. Set in beautiful grounds, this luxury B&B is near to the village centre and yet it provides a quiet haven to relax in and enjoy your Broadway break. As soon as you arrive and walk through the door you will be given a warm and friendly welcome and will be offered a complimentary drink and home made cake. Your hosts will then assist with your every requirement.
At the front of the B&B there is private car parking spaces for each guest room and fantastic views over open countryside and you are welcome to enjoy the rear garden has four parts - the patio, the main lawn & flower beds, the Pergola & top lawn and the 'far end'.
Location
Tucked beneath one of these wooded ridges, along the A44 road,
lies Broadway, which the noted travel writer, Nigel Buxton, described as 'one
of the best looking and best kept villages on Earth'. The buildings here do
not include a single jarring modern structure; most date from early medieval,
Tudor, or Georgian times. Their frontages still look exactly as they must have
appeared all through the intervening centuries. Many of the dwelling places
now serve as shops but they once housed the families of the cottagers, wool
merchants, and the more leisured members of the community.
Walk to the tiny, picturesque villages of Snowshill, Laverton,Buckland and Stanton or Broadway Tower, a famous folly from which you can view up to 13 counties of England and Wales. Make time to see some famous local towns, such as Chipping Campden, Bourton on the Water, Stow on the Wold, Winchcombe, Bibury, Burford and Upper & Lower Slaughter.
Or to visit larger ones such as Worcester, Tewkesbury, Cheltenham or Stratford-upon-Avon. Alternatively, browse around the grounds of medieval Warwick Castle or spend the day wandering among the dreaming spires of Oxford or the elegance of Blenheim Palace that are less than 40 miles away. Alternatively visit the famous gardens of Hidcote, Kiftsgate, Sezincote and Sudeley Castle. All these attractions and more are within a short walk or drive from Broadway.
The B&B is the perfect base from which to explore this area of outstanding beauty and provides the comfort in which you can relax with the happy memories of your day's outing.
