This charming bed and breakfast is personally run by the owners, Gwen and John who offer you a warm & friendly welcome to this beautiful Victorian guest house built in the 1890s from local stone which has been sympathetically renovated & modernised for your comfort, yet has retained all its character & original features.

It is peacefully situated just three minutes' walk from Windermere village centre & all its amenities.

 

 
Accommodation Overview

The spacious bedrooms are tastefully furnished & decorated & have ensuite facilities, colour televisions, VHS Video, CD player, alarm clock radios, hospitality trays & a range of toiletries.

The superior room is an extremely large room with a magnificent four-poster bed and with views over Queen's park. Tastefully furnished with Sofa & TV/Video, CD, and Mini-cooler.

The comfortable and spacious guest lounge has maps and books on local walks/climbs plus many other magazines/books for your perusal. There is also a choice of games for your enjoyment in the evenings.

A choice of breakfast menu includes a hearty and traditional English Breakfast where the best local produce available is used. This includes Cumberland and Waberthwaite sausages and free range eggs. For those who prefer a lighter breakfast they offer fruits in season & locally made yoghurts, choice of cereals, we also cater for vegetarians and offer a range of options including vegetarian sausages and bacon.
Attractions & Landmarks

The B&B is located in a quiet residential area of Windermere not far from the lake. The surrounding area offers some spectacular views of the lake and the surrounding fells. One of the best ways to enjoy the lake is to take a cruise on one of the many boat trips available from various points on the lake. Within a few moments walk of B&B is the peaceful Sherriff's walk, which features some beautiful waterfalls and streams. Ideal for a gentle stroll on a summer's day.
