It is with great enthusiasm that Mary Fairfield and I heartily thank you for the recommendation to stay at the Georgian Country House near Hearstmonceux. It was definitely the best B&B we have stayed at, and, mind you, all of them were quality locations. Not only were the bed and pillows made of down, a definite heaven after a ten hour flight from California, the rooms were large and wonderfully decorated, the towels soft and fluffy, and peace and quiet were the order of the day. The dining room, bright and sunny, was a wonderful place to start the day. Our hostess was very accommodating about making something specific for each guest. Each dish we were served was a tasty treat. In our post breakfast discussions, she always gave some extra suggestions on what to see and do in Sussex, and had some wonderful local knowledge background information to impart. We, for example would have only seen the cliffs at Dover, until she told us about Beachy Head and the wealth of local lore about it. There a some beautiful gardens on the grounds, and we were welcome to stretch our legs and breathe in mother nature at it's finest while there. This location is a definite revisit, and I hope you can send many more people there, as it is a wonderful place to stay.
