Scottish Tourist Board 4 Stars
The Bed and Breakfast accommodation is located just a few miles from the Skye Bridge at Breakish by Broadford.
The house is a modern house built to the highest standards of comfort and situated
in its own grounds on the beautiful Isle of Skye. The area teems with wildlife
and is ideal for walkers, cyclists or simply visitors who want to escape the
hurly burly of city life and journey around the island at a relaxed 'Highland'
pace.
Visitors to the B&B can look forward to a warm welcome and island hospitality
from Alison who more than likely will have some fresh home baking coming out
of the oven just as you arrive.

Areas of Interest
Portree - The Capital
At the centre of Skye lies the scenic village and island capital of Portree.
Here there are all the usual facilities you would expect of a small township
including: Restaurants, Heritage Centre's and Cinema, many Shops, Library, Harbour,
Gallery, Pubs, Churches, Medical facilities and much more ...
In the South of the island is Sleat, The Garden of Skye. From Ardvasar the ferry
sails to Mallaig and its here too that the Clan Donald is located. Beautiful
gardens, restaurant, heritage centre. Just a few miles back towards the main
road is the Gaelic College of Sabhal Mor Ostaig. Its also worth driving over
the hill to Ord at this junction, the scenery is spectacular.
To the North of Portree lies the stunningly beautiful Trotternish peninsula
with its amazing rock structures. If you have access to a car, don't miss the
mountain road over the Quiairing. You should also see the Kilt Rock, find a
few fossils, climb the gentle hill to The Old Man of Storr and work your way
round to Uig where the ferry departs to the Outer Hebrides, namely Uist and
Harris.
To the North West is Dunvegan with its superb castle and active seat of the
Clan MacLeod. All along this road are sites of interest that the visitors enjoy
so be sure to take your camera. From Dunvegan onwards towards Glendale you really
see Skye and the wilderness at its best
The West side of Skye is tranquil place. Its reached from two roads: the Elgol road at Broadford Hotel; and the Sligachan - Glenbrittle road. Don't miss the Minginish Peninsula and the home of Talisker Whisky - Carbost. This is a lovely road with little traffic and Glennnbrittle a truly magnificent walking destination.
There is also Raasay with the distinctive remnants of an old volcano Dun Caan clearly visible and of course lastly and certainly not least are the Cuillin Hills - an almost constant feature of the Skye landscape.
