This charming bed and breakfast is on the edge of the beautiful village of Shere in an area of outstanding natural beauty near the market town of Guildford, Surrey. The village is so stunning it is often used for film shoots (Bridget Jones and Four Wedding and a Funeral). The B&B is one of the older village houses, being built 1832, with 2.5 acres of grounds and excellent views over completely unspoiled countryside. The village of Shere has a 14th century parish church, a pretty pub overlooking the village green and ducks on the river too. It is a pretty idyllic spot, but it is also perfectly situated being 40 minutes from Heathrow airport, Gatwick airport (there is no aircraft noise from either). Central London is a mere 37 minutes by fast train from Guildford Station (5 miles away). Please note there is a 2 night minimum stay at this home.

Nearby are scores of fabulous walks including part of the Pilgrims Way (as in Canterbury Tales) and two high viewpoints within 3 miles (Newlands Corner and The Hurtmore Control) both of which are easily walkable.There is also trout fishing nearby on the river Tillingbourne. Shere has terrific pubs that serve food and the village has a smart restaurant called Kinghams.

Your hosts approach to B&B is unusually hedonistic! A fabulous large double room with ensuite facilities which were completely refurbished this year in minimalist style.
