A Charming B&B in East Devon

This B&B is an imposing Grade 2 listed building only a few minutes walk from the sea at Budleigh Salterton. Originally a thatched cottage it was extended and transformed in 1830 and additional extensions have been built since then offering you the most relaxing environment.

Budleigh Salterton is a very pretty, small and neat seaside village which has a quiet ambiance and is ideal for people who are looking for a relaxing stay. Marvelous walks abound along the coast or inland and the terrain is is also tremendous for mountain biking. There are also three fine golf courses nearby. A number of fine eating places are close by and the people are particularly friendly. If it is tranquility you are seeking you have found it here. There are, however, many places to explore in the car and Exeter is a fine City to spend time at and is only 20 minutes away. Enormous sandy beaches are to be found only 5 miles away at Exmouth so children will love it too. The B&B is about 400 yards from town center and there are four places to eat in the evenings and more in the day time.

Accommodation

The four bedrooms, all en suite or with private bathrooms, are large and airy and most have lovely sun filled windows with views over the garden which is dominated by a giant monkey puzzle tree. In addition to the beautiful bedrooms there is a large dining room and guest lounge which looks along the verandah and onto the garden. To one side of the house is a large sheltered paved sun terrace and a delightful ornamental pond.

There is also a relaxation center adjacent to the main building which contains a sauna, a steam room, a massage suite and a grotto containing a flotation pool. If you have ever wondered what it is like to have a float you absolutely must visit this B&B because floating is one of the most relaxing experiences you can imagine.

Tariff

Prices are per room, per night, and have two price bands. Peak: (April - Oct) and Off-Peak (Nov-Mar). Price will be confirmed at time of enquiry.

Prices include tax and breakfast.

There is a floatation pool, sauna and steam room for your use at an additional charge of £5 and you may have to make a reservation at peak times. The floatation pool has to be reserved as do treatments and a charge will be made. Treatments include massage, reflexology, aromatherapy, Indian head massage and beauty treatments. All rooms have TV, beverage making facilities, and can contain an extra bed or two for children. The charge for a child under 10 is £10 per night. Pets are welcome for a charge of £5 per night at the discretion of the proprietors. There is a guest telephone. No smoking in bedrooms. Rooms will be available from 1600 hrs. and guests are asked to vacate their rooms by 1100 hrs. on the day of departure.
