Your hosts welcome you to their home which has a friendly and relaxed family atmosphere. They offer great value bed and breakfast in this large detached house in Beckenham, part of the London suburbs. The B&B has fine furniture, thoughtful decoration and a varied art collection reflects the family's interest in Scotland, antiques, music and the theatre. Views from the bright and sunny dining room start with the beautiful designer garden and outdoor swimming pool extending into delightful ancient woodland beyond. A perfect blend of all the comforts of home. The guest accommodation consists of a large double room with ensuite bathroom and a large twin with private bathroom. Both rooms have colour TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Your hosts can add extra pull out beds for children if needed (on request). There is also a heated swimming pool for guest! Finally for guests arriving by car there is off-street parking.

The location (travel zone 4/5) offers easy access to central London, Bromley, Croydon and rural Kent. The two local stations, both within 12-15 minutes walk offer fast access to Victoria (13 mins), or Charing Cross (36 mins) and London Bridge (26 mins) stations. There is also access to Lewisham (17 mins) and then DLR system for Excel in East London (under an hour). The location is a perfect base for visitors, both business and leisure, who prefer to be away from the rush and expense of the inner city. Your hosts can also offer a ride to/from the local stations etc. at a small cost.
Near to the B&B are both tram and bus stops that take you to Croydon, Bromley and Crystal Palace. Both the tram and the buses are the same cost which is around £1 for a single journey. Tram stops locally around every 15 minutes.

Enjoy a delicious Continental Breakfast consisting of freshly home-baked bread and muffins, as well as a selection of cereals, fresh fruit, fruit juices, yogurt and plenty of toast, croissants, tea or coffee. For a little extra, you can enjoy a hearty Caledonian Breakfast including porridge followed by sausages, sliced sausage, black pudding, potato scones, mushrooms, tomatoes and free range eggs.

Please note the owners do have a dog but he is not allowed near the guest areas or bedrooms.
