from Victoria coach station. This bed and breakfast is in a great location in Victoria and is in an excellent position for your visit to central London. The rooms are situated in a self contained apartment over the Cafe in the photo above. It is less than 10 minutes walk from Buckingham Palace & St James Park, and close to the Tate gallery, Westminster, and the West End. The tube, busses & trains at Victoria are less than a 2 minutes walk away. The shopping areas of Knightsbridge, Kings Road, Kensington, Bond Street & Oxford Street can all be accessed with ease. There are four rooms for guest use, split on two floors, both floors having a double and twin room on each. One double and twin share a private bathroom, making this idea for a family of 4 to 6 (extra beds can be added). One double had an ensutie bathroom and the second twin room has a private adjacent bathroom (just for use of guests in that twin room). There is an independent guest entrance with coded door. The great little B&B is in Maida Vale, almost in zone 1, and a short bus or tube ride from central London. The B&B sleeps 2 or 3 persons maximum and the large guest room has a double bed, sofa and table and chairs. There is a TV with Freeview, DVD player and iPod docking station. Guests are welcome to use the washing machine once a week and there is an iron and ironing board in the room plus a hairdryer . Bed linen and towels are provided and are changed weekly. The owner is retired and so although the bathroom is shared with her, she will rarely need to use it when you do. There is an over the bath shower. Guests are welcome to use the kitchen to prepare simple meals for themselves in the evening and they can help themselves to tea and coffee at all times. When the owner is home, there is full use of the beautiful garden to take tea and watch the birds in the trees and the fish in the pond. |

This ground floor apartment is a few minutes walk from bus and tram stops which can take you to Beckenham, Croydon (for the train ride to central London) and Wimbledon in West London (home of Wimbledon tennis club). You can also walk to Croydon for the trains into London, Gatwick, Brighton and beyond. Croydon east station is just 10 minutes walk away. From East Croydon station Victoria station in central London is just a 15 minute direct ride away. This centrally heated and recently redecorated self catering ground floor apartment consists of a large double bedroom, which can take additional beds for family groups, a kitchenette where you can prepare you breakfast and simple meals and an ensuite shower room with basin and W.C. The main room is nice and large and has a small breakfast table
and chairs and plenty of wardrobe space. The kitchenette has a sink and food preparation area, a fridge,
microwave oven, a toaster and a kettle. There is ample space to make your breakfast from the foods
provided and even small snack based meals. The ensuite bathroom has a nice large shower, a hand basin

The centre of London is only 17 minutes away by train. Elena’s B&B is situated in Blackheath Village which is a great location for easy access to all of the London tourist centres. Her home is in the beautiful, peaceful, yet trendy Blackheath Village with a 5-minute walk to the station. There are regular buses to central Greenwich (and hence the tube system) from Blackheath every 10 minutes or so until around midnight. It's also very easy to get to "The O2" (www.theo2.co.uk) entertainment district too, with its famous concert arena (previously the Millennium Dome), as it is only about 1.5 miles away. There is a direct bus (every 10 minutes) from right outside the B&B to O2 arena. The bed and breakfast is situated 200 yards from Blackheath train the station, which transports you to central London in 18 minutes! There is also a direct train line link from Victoria train station to Blackheath. The Village itself is a lovely mixture of bijou shops, restaurants, coffeehouses and pubs. |
