Proprietors Dick & Sue Clothier look forward to welcoming you to their home in the Lake District.

The B&B is a Victorian house built in the 1890's from local slate and provides comfortable accommodation in a family home. Many of its original features have been retained, such as the elegant pitch pine staircase, exposed beams and ornate cornices. It is situated away from main thoroughfares yet is within a few minutes walk of the railway station and village centre, restaurants, shops and pubs. Windermere is ideally located as a centre for either touring the enchanting scenery of the Lake District or for a brief stay to give a taste of the area whilst touring Britain.

We try to provide an informal and relaxing atmosphere as a base for whatever activities you wish to pursue. Whether you are walking, touring, cycling, sailing, riding, sight-seeing, climbing, snoozing or simply having a good time, you will be welcome at the B&B.

The B&B is completely non-smoking and is centrally-heated throughout offering a choice of double, twin or family rooms. Four bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms and one has an en-suite bathroom. All are provided with colour televisions, hairdryers and tea/coffee tray. In our cosy residents lounge you can browse through our collection of books, magazines and tourist information. For younger visitors there is a selection of toys and games.

We have a car park at the rear of the property and there are no parking restrictions on Holly Road.

All rooms have:

Colour television, Radio alarms, Hair dryer, Hospitality trays with tea, coffee, hot chocolate

Our guests have free use of the nearby Parklands Country Club private leisure facility incorporating

Swimming Pool with children's area, Spa bath, Sauna, Steam room, Badminton court, Trimnasium, 2 Full size snooker tables, Solarium, Comprehensive lounge and bar.

Tariff :

This home offers 2 types of double room with en-suite shower and w.c. Available for either of the 4 nights you would like. The standard double would be £26 per person per night. The superior double - which is a larger room with more luxurious furnishings, comfy sofa and a DVD player - would be £31 per person per night. These prices are fully inclusive of breakfast and use of Parklands Country Club nearby.

£26 - £31 per person per night bed & breakfast ( depending on season).
Children under 14 sharing their parents room are charged at half price.

Note - this home operates an independent cancellation policy that is in addition to our own policy :

CANCELLATION POLICY - Where 14 days or more notice is given, no charge will be made. Where less than 14 days notice is given but we are able to relet the room, no charge will be made. Where less than 14 days notice is given and we are unable to relet the room, a charge will be made equivalent to the full stay less the direct cost of breakfast. We find that we do not usually need to charge for cancellations unless they are within a few days of the booking as we nearly always manage to relet the room.
