About the local area - or see our homes in Bromley

Bromley borough in the south-east of 'Greater London' and is in between the City of London and the county of Kent (known as the Garden of England). It is known as the 'greenest' borough of London and is also a very prosperous place. Bromley is very popular with Londoners who work in the city centre as they can reach Central London in 17 minutes on one of the six trains each hour. Bromley consists mainly of leafy peaceful residential streets around a lively town centre. It's leisure facilities consist of two theatres, a cinema, numerous pubs and many varied restaurants, two night clubs, extensive sports facilites and a superb library As well as these facilites Bromley also has a large shopping area with many high street shops and the excellent modern and stylish shopping mall called 'The Glades' which attracts visitors from all over London.

Note : It is often quicker getting to Central London by train from Bromley than it can be staying at an inner London B&B and using the London tube system. This is because of the frequent number of stops on the tube system. A one-day travelcard allowing you to use the trains, tubes and buses from Bromley into and around London costs under £5 uk per day. Bromley is also much 'safer' than many of the inner London areas.

Bromley's location is great for London tourists, but don't take our word for it read our Guest Recommendations

Please note that Bromley is around an hour away from Heathrow airport (Heathrow is actually 15 miles West of London) by public transport, but Bromley is only 17 minutes from the centre of London. It is within easy reach of Gatwick and Stanstead airports. The Bed and Breakfasts are also ideally situated for people wishing to travel to mainland Europe via the Sea ports or Euro Tunnel on the South Coast (Dover, Folkstone, Newhaven etc), being only minutes away from the M25 motorway system.
