This family run cottage bed and breakfast is conveniently situated just off the A36 between the villages of Freshford and Hinton Charterhouse. The location offers a peaceful, rural location yet within ten minutes drive of the Georgian City of Bath. Set above the beautiful Limpley Stoke Valley, the B&B is in a designated area of Natural Outstanding Beauty and offers numerous walks and cycle rides along the Kennet and Avon Canal and surrounding area. The Cottage stands in grounds of over 6 acres with ever changing scenery through the seasons and an abundance of wildlife visiting the garden. Freshford is well served by public transport with an hourly bus service to the City of Bath and the nearby Saxon town of Bradford on Avon. Just stand outside the cottage and put your hand out – the bus will stop for you! Freshford also has its own train station with a regular service to Bath, London and the South Coast. Your hosts, Martin and Jackie very much look forward to welcoming you to their home, whether your visit is for business or pleasure. The homes is strictly NO SMOKING for the comfort of all our guests. Your hosts share their home with their two adorable cats, Jynx and Poppy. Although they are not allowed in the guest accommodation we wouldn't want to upset them by having other pets in the house - so sorry no guest pets please!

Accommodation
The B&B offers two tastefully decorated guest rooms, one double with ensuite shower room and one twin with ensuite bathroom and separate shower. Both rooms offer guest : A hospitality tray (with home made biscuits) TV and DAB radio Hairdryer Free wireless internet access Crisp cotton bedding with summer and winter duvets Your hosts are are always happy to welcome children, the double ensuite room is able to accommodate a small child's bed (suitable up to age 10 years) or travel cot (both cab be provided on request) and they also provide high chairs. There is no charge for children sharing their parents' room.

Breakfast
Breakfast is usually served between 7.30 and 9.30am in the Breakfast room overlooking the garden or can be taken on the patio (weather permitting) during the summer months. The full English breakfast is cooked on the Aga and all produce is local or organic. Vegetarians are happily catered for (as Jackie is one herself!). Please let us know in advance if you have any special dietary requirements.

GUEST LOUNGE
Guests have the use of their own private lounge with comfy sofas, a wood burning fire in the winter months and direct access to the garden. There is also SKY TV, DVD and CD Player plus a selection of books and information on the local area.
