The B&B is in a unique position overlooking the River Thames in Putney, South West London. The house is on a raised private terrace with uninterrupted views of the river. The B&B owner is widely travelled and speaks French. She has a good knowledge of London and enjoys helping with travel plans. Travelling connections are excellent from Putney, it's only a 10 minute walk across Putney Bridge to the tube station (Putney Bridge on the District Line). There are good bus connections into central London and Wimbledon for the tennis. Putney railway station is a 15 minute walk with fast connections into London Waterloo and Victoria. There are many varied restaurants and pubs within easy walking distance. The house is situated at the start of the annual Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race. The Embankment leads onto the towpath, which is excellent for walks and jogging. The Barnes Wetland centre is around a 30 minute walk along the towpath, beside the river. |

Accommodation is on the first floor. There are 2 double bedrooms, one double bedroom has the private shower room adjacent.The private shower room has a large walk in shower, basin and toilet. With either single or double occupancy of this bedroom the shower room will be for your sole use only. The second double bedrooms may be used by a family group or 2 couples/singles who will not mind sharing the shower room between them. There are tea and coffee making facilities, a hair dryer is provided and there is Wifi Internet throughout the house. There is a minimum stay of 2 consecutive nights. Parking for cars is available as there is restricted on street parking outside the house. A Resident's Visitor Parking permit can be provided for guests, at a cost of £5 a day.
Breakfast is served in the dining room over looking the river. For guests with small children the owner can also supply a travel cot and a high chair if needed. |
