Guest comments : I really enjoyed staying at this place. A nice, clean and quiet area in Greenwich, nice room and a good service - all at a very reasonable cost. I think I'll stay at this place again next time I come to London. Serge (June 2004) - Press here to read more |
This 'B&B' has three self contained 'flat areas' to let individually
or as separate rooms sharing bathrooms or as a whole with private facilities. The
ground floor has two twin bedrooms and the first floor area has two twins and a single bedroom, plus there is a loft conversion area also with two twin rooms. All three floors have their own
kitchen area with toaster, microwave and tea and coffee facilities, private bathroom, ironing facilities, and matching furniture and TV's in all bedrooms. The ground and first floor rooms have a washing machine too, this is not available in the loft area but there is also a laundry service available on request (at a cost) if needed.
Please note that
there is an access stairway for loft conversion rooms that runs though the first floor area. This will only affect the first floor area when other guests are going to and
from their rooms above. The guest for the loft area will not need to come into the first floor area other than to use the
staircase. All the bedrooms on all floors are lockable. Breakfast is self catering but your host supplies cereals, bread, eggs,
fruit juices, tea, coffee and milk. There are also local shops including a fish
and chip shop and pubs within a few minutes walk. The homes are located in a
friendly suburban area (travel zone 3) which is close to the local station (10
minutes walk) where frequent trains run into central London taking only 15 minutes
. Within 5 minutes walk of the home you can take a bus straight to places like
Oxford Street in central London or get 286/386 bus to the Docklands Light Railway. The owners own house is actually a few doors away up the road where he has a
large twin room (with extra beds that can sleep a family of 4) plus many twin
and single rooms which he also uses for bed and breakfast.
Greenwich nearby is famous for it's tea Clipper ship, the Royal observatory, Greenwich Park and the Arts and crafts market. The home is also near to the new "The O2" concert arena www.theO2.co.uk (previously the Millennium Dome) - only a 20 minute walk or a short bus-ride away. The area has a vast
number of attractions and is close to the city of London where such attractions
as the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, the Thames barrier, St Paul's
Cathedral and so on are all within a short train journey or boat-ride away.

The owners own House
Your host now also has rooms available in his own home a few doors away - rates are the same and there is a full kitchen for guests use - There is a twin room and a triple room available the triple could be used for a family of four too. The two guest rooms share the one bathroom and the kitchen. Also available a large twin room with two beds that convert into double beds. These are only 4" beds as doubles when made up which is slightly smaller than a standard double. All rooms have TV, plus a table and chairs. Photos and rates are below.
NEW - the is now also a 'self contained' area in the attic-conversion which offers two twin bedrooms (one is quite small). These rooms have a private bathroom with shower/basin/WC and on the small landing area there is a fridge, toaster, kettle, microwave and sink and cutlery/plates etc. As mentioned this upstairs in the new attic conversation. The entrance is from the main landing within the house and not via a separate front door. Note that the bedrooms and bathroom have there own lockable doors. Rates in the 'attic area' are less than the self contained flats at the other and these rooms have the advantage of private facilities which the B&B does not offer. Rates are below or press here

Just wanted to let you know that my son and his friends had a great time in London on Wednesday night and were full of praise for this flat - everything went really well and they said the flat was brilliant.
They will definitely be using it again. Many thanks for a great service.
Best wishes - Sally Goodwin
Everything was really great. It was very easy to find and the
room was lovely. I'd come back to stay anytime I was back in London for a few
nights as it was excellent value for money! So you'll probably hear from me
again.
Bye for now, Jennie - Germany
A short 5 min walk from Westcombe Park station gets you to the
B&B. I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the rooms, and the kitchen.
It is a bright, fresh, clean flat with all modern conveniences provided. The
two rooms are large, the beds are comfortable and wardrobes are provided. There
is a television in each of the rooms. The kitchen is spacious and fully equipped,
and also incorporates the washing machine and an ironing board and iron. We
enjoyed cooking our own dinner a couple of times there. The bathroom is adequate
with a nice sized bath and loads of hot water. Central heating keeps the flat
cozy and all linen is provided. Great sized towels and really warm feather duvets
and pillows make for a fantastic night sleep. As you get your own key and the
flat is self-contained you can come and go as you please which is a fantastic
bonus. We found this nice little pub just up the road along with a Safeway shop,
various takeaways and restaurants. I would recommend this place to anyone. I
was so impressed that I am staying there again!!

Had a great time in London, the B&B was excellent! Thanks again!! - Merel
We had a wonderful stay in London. The home was very easy to find, close to the railway station, within walking distance of the sights in Greenwich, never any problem finding a parking space right outside the door and most importantly of all our room was great, the beds and bedding looked almost new. The owner was very helpful and the whole place felt relaxed and welcoming. The self catering style was ideal for us as a family. Many thanks for your service. - The Hooper Family (April 2004)
I stayed at Tony's for 69 nights whilst studying in London. Yes its clean, yes its quiet and yes, its great value! I was very comfortable and Tony is at hand if you need any advice on the area and is a genuine bloke as well.
As the advert says, there are local shops within 4 mins walking, the station is again, 5 mins away, with regular services into London taking about 15 mins to London Bridge.
I was so glad I stayed at this B+B as it is self catering on the cooking side, but all your linen and towels are cleaned and provided by Tony. Its fantastic value and have no hesitation in recommending Tony's B+B, after all i stayed there for 69 nights!! Hope to see you soon Tony! - Jamie
Our stay in this self catering B&B was great value and just what we were looking for as a family. Only 15 minutes from London Bridge station and shops close by it was convenient and good value. Can't ask for more. Cheers. Mick (UK)
