This B&B hotel is an elegant Georgian mansion designed by architect John Everleigh and situated on the outskirts of Bath, one of Britain's most beautiful and historically intriguing cities. There are numerous country estates within a few miles such as Bradford-on-Avon, Corsham Court, Sheldon Manor, Castle Combe, and many of the charming Cotswold villages are within a half hour drive. The city of Bath, a short bus ride away, has been celebrated for centuries for its idyllic atmosphere, inspiring the writers Jane Austin, Charles Dickens, and Thomas Gainsborough. The bus, which stops just outside the home, runs into central Bath every 10 minutes during the day and every 20 minutes in evening. Should you prefer a taxi costs around £5 - £6 each way.

If it is leisure and sport you are after, the house has many facilities on their doorstep. They can arrange golf times at reduced rates with a choice of at least 3 courses nearby. Horse racing meetings are at both Bath and Cheltenham. Nearby, there is the Bath Rugby Club and there are tennis courts for hire nearby. Fishing licenses are available on the River Avon. For something different, why not try an exhilarating hot-air balloon ride from which to survey the wonderful architecture of Bath from above or saunter along the Kennet and Avon Canal with boats and punts available for hire. For the arts, they have the Theatre Royal in Bath or the Bristol Hippodrome for the latest shows from London. Other places of interest nearby include : Wookey Hole and Caves 20 miles, Many National Trust properties, Roman Baths 2 miles, Bradford on Avon 7 miles, Bristol 12 miles, Stonehenge 25 miles.

The Accommodation

The 12 tastefully decorated guest rooms, including four poster rooms, are all ensuite with televisions and tea and coffee making facilities.
Six guest rooms overlook the garden and lawns of the property and the rest overlook the magnificent Avon Valley as well. All rooms have clock radios and hair dryers. There is also a self contained flat which is ideal for families. This has a double room with an extra sofa bed and an adjoining room with twin beds. There is an ensuite bathroom to the twin room and a private shower room across from the double room.
