Sue and Colin, your hosts, love their home and gardens in Bromley, Kent (just a short journey from central London) and offer guests a warm welcome to their bed and breakfast home, which is tucked away and surrounded by trees at the end of a quiet and secluded cul-de-sac.  Gloriously colourful, bright and airy in Spring and Summer; warm, snug and cosy in Autumn and Winter. We genuinely enjoy meeting and looking after our guests and believe that the ambiance and welcome offered in our comfortable modern home is truly special.  We are proud to say that we frequently have guests returning to our B&B. We now offer WiFi internet access for your laptop computer.

wifi available

Indeed we claim the "B&B Net Record" for the longest staying guest; starting with Les, who in his own words (written in our Visitor's Book) - "I came for two nights and stayed for seven months - need I say more?".  Then, along came Keith for five nights and stayed 3-4 nights a week for 18 months, Val two nights a week for 12 months, Doris who stayed an average of 24/25 nights per year for more than four years, and currently Andrew who has been coming most weeks for 2½ years.    So, we must be doing something right and we still retain the trophy!   We are proud that we get over 50% of return visits

Getting to and from central London :

The home is within easy traveling distance from central London. From Charing Cross station in central London it's a 25 minute train ride followed by a 15 minute walk from the local station, Elmstead Woods. Bromley is easily accessed by train from Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted airports. The location is also close to Chislehurst and Sundridge Park too.

Unfortunately owing to the open-sided staircase, we are unable to accept young children and those with a severe visual impairment. We also regret that we are unable to offer kitchen/self catering, or refrigerated storage facilities to our guests.

We believe the choice and quality offered on our Breakfast menu rivals many hotels.  If you have a large appetite, go for our excellent Full English breakfast cooked to order; alternatively try our cold buffet platter.  There is always a choice of cereals, fresh fruit salad and yoghurts; also fresh bread or toast with home made preserves; all of which will set you up for the day.    We ask you to let us know in advance if you are a vegetarian or follow a gluten free diet.   Sue loves to cook, and is more than happy to offer an excellent supper at a very reasonable cost.

I just want to tell you that I was very happy with the B&B. The owners were very warm and attentive hosts. The house is an oasis of rest, and I enjoyed reading on the roof terrace in the swing chair. The rooms are fine, bathroom is bright and very clean. Breakfast was a delight with good coffee, fresh home-baked bread, delicious fruit salad, a lot of attention to details... A sitting room for our private use was a nice extra. A well hidden retreat!  Kind regards, Theresa, Gent, Belgium

I just wanted to let you know how my stay with Colin & Sue went. I came to stay with them during the working week away from home.  I'd seen the feedback on your website and knew I wanted to try their place for a couple of nights.  I think my stay lasted about 8 months!

I'll break it down for any of your customers wondering what it's really like:

The location -  their home is in a pretty residential area, so quiet it's difficult to remember that you're so close to central London and only a short walk from Bromley's town centre.  It's a bit like a Disney film sometimes with doves, robins, parakeets, foxes, cats and dogs all gambolling about in the gardens.  It's hard to believe, but it's true! At night, it's blissfuly quiet.

The rooms - I stayed in both bedrooms over time.  They were just-like-home comfortable, spotlessly clean & cosy.  The use of a separate living room & roof terrace to relax in was a luxury (unusual in a B&B where you can often be holed up in your room.)  The bathroom was like a luxury hotel, sparkling clean, a fab shower and bath with a fluffy towels, a luxurious dressing gown and lovely smellies for use.

The food -because I was staying during the working week (and the bed was so comfy I had to stay in it as long as possible) I had the packed breakfast which I could grab and run with in the morning.  (I'd often smell another guest's full english but I'd never allow myself enough time!) My packed breakfast was always the perfect balance of healthy, hearty and DELICIOUS.  My 'magic bag' was the envy of my work colleagues (they still miss it as much as I do - it has become the stuff of legend.)  Occasionally I would join Colin & Sue for an evening meal.  It NEVER disappointed.

The company - Sue & Colin are kind and generous hosts. As soon as you walk in the door they make you feel at home. They'll give you as much help and information as you want for your stay but just as happily leave you in peace to relax.

I eventually found a permanent home in the area.   I miss my 'magic bag' full of lovely packed breakfast.   I miss the fluffy dressing gowns which were so much nicer than mine.  And I miss Sue & Colin, who so effortlessly made me feel so at home.  They are kind and generous people and I think you'd struggle to find anyone who's stayed with them to say otherwise.  They have a guestbooks where people who have stayed over the years can leave their comments.  They're bursting with rave reviews from people all over the world.

Thank you Colin & Sue, you made me feel at home when I was so far away from home.  To anyone reading this and wondering if they should stay at this B&B, try it, you won't regret it!

Hi, just wanted to let you know how our stay went. Well, we were ever so pleased with the accommodation, and the hosts were terrific. We didn't feel like strangers in a strange country, it was more like being with family. I would recommend them highly to anyone. The food was great and Colin's bread was a terrific bonus served warm with breakfast. Thank you and please send a big hello to Sue and Colin. Iris & Robert Smith (alias..Bob & Becky)

We have returned from our visit and I would highly recommend this B&B. The hosts Sue and Colin could not have been more welcoming and helpful to us during our stay. Sue and Colin really went out of their way to make our stay so enjoyable. Sue had so much information available on where to go/ what to do. She even helped with travel arrangements and Colin provided us with local maps which is beyond the call of duty. The homemade bread was something else. The B&B is set in a beautiful location and really is a home from home. Many thanks again for the great service and I have already recommended the service to some friends who intend traveling to the UK in the near future.
Best regards - Catherine Condon

Just to say that Sue's B&B was excellent and your whole web site has transformed my B&B booking process (which used to be a nightmare !) Great stuff ! Adam Skeens

Just to let you know we found everything fine over the weekend. We normally stay in a hotel and for the price could not fault the surroundings, cleanliness and food at this B&B. Sue and Colin were very helpful with directions - without their directions we would probably have still been looking for the church for our wedding and would have been much later getting home today. Thanks - Ann

Thanks for that, the accommodation was fantastic and the hosts were absolutely brilliant. I will definitely use them again should I need to go back down to London. Carole
